The Orthodox Study Bible is the fruit of almost two decades of work by translators, editors, and theologians, to produce a truly fine edition of the Holy Bible, containing all of the books of the Orthodox Canon of Scripture. This is a new translation into English from the Septuagint text, which is the only version of the Scriptures accepted by the Orthodox Church, and contains icons and numerous notes from patristic sources. This is the first bible of its kind available in the English language.

If you missed the last parish order, never fear. As further interest has been expressed, we have decided to place a second order. Please note that the last order was from Orthodox Christian Books/Marstons and that the discount period from that company has now passed. The new order will be placed with Eden.co.uk, which means that prices will be slightly higher than those previously published.

Two editions are available. Here are the details of prices per copy and discounts that we may receive if we order a certain number.

Hardback:

• 1-4 copies: £24.69 each
  
• 5-10 copies: £23.39 each
  
• 11 or more copies: £22.09 each
  

Bonded Leather:

• 1-4 copies: £34.68 each
• 5-10 copies: £32.85 each
• 11 or more copies: £31.03 each

If it helps to give you some idea of orders so far, we have received three orders for the bonded leather and none for the hardback. We will be joined in this order by another parish. As soon as we know more, this webpage will be updated to reflect accurate numbers.

All orders must be received by the evening of Monday in Bright Week (28th April in your diary).

Please do not include payment with your order. The amount payable will be calculated once all orders have been received.

If you ordered your bible with the initial order which had a closing date of the end of February, you should have received this by now and can make payment as soon as you are able. The prices are

• bonded leather - £30
  

Payment can be made by cash or cheque, in person to Father Paul. Alternatively, you can pay by cheque and post it to Father Paul at 58 Shrewsbury Road, Oxton, Birkenhead, CH43 2HY. Please indicate how many of each edition you are paying for. Cheques should be made out to "The Parish of St Elisabeth the New Martyr, Birkenhead".

If you have placed your order with the second order with the deadline of Palm Sunday, please do not make payment yet as the exact amount remains unknown.
